The Marmo Method Builds
PDF series of how-to construction guides.
In response to the constantly increasing cost of gasoline,
food and postage, Scale Publications is now offering a new line of building guides by
Richard Marmo in a downloadable PDF format. Each guide will be fully illustrated on
a step-by-step basis and focus on a single subject. Prices will be kept low,
generally $2.99 - $3.99, and delivered to your computer immediately after receipt of your
online payment, avoiding a shipping charge that would effectively double your cost.
An advantage of the PDF format is that you can either keep it on your hard drive to view
on your computer or print a hardcopy of any part or all if you prefer having the
information on paper.
Subjects will usually deal with aircraft/aerospace, science
fiction/fantasy and armor with other subjects possible, depending on requests received.
Stock buildups, conversions/modifications and scratchbuilts will all be
possibilities, again depending on your interests and requests.

For those who prefer multiple projects on a disc, a
continuing series of CD-ROM discs designed specifically for the modeler is also under
development. Each disc will contain dozens of step-by-step photographs, along with
thousands of words of text, describing exactly how to successfully produce a quality model
from resin, styrene or mixed-media kits. Unlike videotape, the CD-ROM format will
allow you to place a sharp, crisp photo on your computer screen and leave it there
for as long as you need it.
Produced in HTML format, the
disc requires an Internet browser but not an Internet
connection.
We will be offering discs on
both Science Fiction and Aircraft subjects. Simply click on the appropriate
hyperlink. Please note that no aircraft modelbuilding discs are currently available.
